Top Shelf Flooring Accessories is a local retailer servicing DIY and trades with all things that go with flooring.

They engaged Limeworks to help give them a better online presence and automate so many manual tasks to do with stock handling and retail.

After much research and consideration of their requirements, we proposed the perfect solution to help modernise and digitise their processes.

The solution was bringing together point of sale software, the website itself, with inventory management all the way through to accounting.

After implementation of our solution, they have a clear indication of their best selling products, their best performing customers and so much more.

The result.

After a series of customisations to suit their particular business, they now have a retail point of sale system, which supports trade and tiered pricing all the way through to inventory tracking for thousands of products.

The work, in detail.

Top Shelf Flooring Accessories came to Limeworks seeking digitisation and simplification of their sales process and stock management.

Naturally we had to work out the design and user experience, but the primary focus of this project was functionality and data management.

  • Research and suitability testing of various solutions, against the desired functionality and features.
  • Undertook further feasibility testing of three potential solutions to test the theory.
  • Once testing was complete, we presented our findings to client for review, along with recommendations.
  • With the selected solution approved, we got to work on development, bringing together a solution using ConnectPOS, Magento with an ERP extension, and Xero.
  • We developed a custom sync process for Magento’s feed to Xero, to ensure sales, purchase orders, stock management, all sync to Xero.
  • Stock management is simplified with centralised data across multiple stores and warehouses, with barcode-based stocktaking.
  • In-store sales and online orders are all available to clients under their online login, for centralised review.
